Investing in businesses today,
shaping tomorrow’s future
About us
We are a private investment and wealth management firm. Our mission is to leverage our entrepreneurial legacy to responsibly grow and future-proof the family's wealth while fostering new opportunities across various industries.
Jakubec Family Office was established under the leadership of Pavol Jakubec and his family following the successful sale of I.D.C. Holding, the largest Slovak producer and major regional distributor of confectionery and durable baked goods, to Valeo Foods.
Our story began in the wake of the Velvet Revolution, when in 1989, a young architect, Pavol Jakubec, co-founded the Investment Development Company (I.D.C.) to help source privatisation investment opportunities for foreign investors. Shortly after, Pavol decided to directly acquire a formally state-owned food manufacturer himself. For the following three decades, Pavol Jakubec played a pivotal role in transforming a decrepit national bakery into Slovakia’s leading confectionery producer known for its iconic household staples.
Approach
We focus on private equity, strategic investments and wealth management to create long-term value.
Upholding a strong governance framework to ensure ethical decision-making, financial discipline, and transparency is at the core of all our activities. Our multi-generational approach ensures that wealth is preserved while empowering the next generation of Jakubec family members to lead with purpose and vision.
At Jakubec Family Office, we are not just investing in businesses — we are investing in the future.

Investing in businesses today, shaping tomorrow’s future
About us
We are a private investment and wealth management firm. Our mission is to responsibly manage assets while fostering new opportunities across various industries. With a legacy built on entrepreneurial vision, strategic growth, and long-term value creation.
Jakubec Family Office was established under the leadership of Ing. arch. Pavol Jakubec and his family following the successful sale of I.D.C. Holding, the largest Slovak producer and major regional distributor of confectionery and durable baked goods, to Valeo Foods.
Our story began in the wake of the Velvet Revolution, when in 1989, a young architect, Pavol Jakubec, co-founded the Investment Development Company (I.D.C.) focused on sourcing privatization investment opportunities to foreign investors. However, he soon realized that a more effective path would be the direct acquisition of a state-owned food manufacturing enterprise. For over three decades, Pavol Jakubec played a pivotal role in transforming a former state-owned bakery into a leader in Slovakia’s confectionery industry, producing household staples known across the country.
Following the successful exit from his largest business, Pavol Jakubec founded Jakubec Family Office, an investment and wealth management firm built on a multi-generational approach. Its goal is not only to preserve and grow the family’s wealth but also to prepare future generations to lead with responsibility and a long-term vision.
